I wonder why I never tried these rotis in my kitchen. Perfect for breakfast if served with pickle; pair it with any curry for your dinner or lunch.
Rajasthani cuisine is full of flavours and most of the recipes are heavy to digest.Missi roti is the rajasthani flat bread made with chickpea floor .That’s why I found it perfect for my daughter’s breakfast as chickpea has loads of proteins.
Had these rotis in restaurants earlier and nowadays it has become often in my kitchen. When I look for anything other than paratha missi roti is my first choice.
Chickpea floor 1 cup
Whole wheat flour 1 cup
Onions finely chopped 2 tbsp
Green chilies finely chopped 1 tsp
Carrom seeds 1tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil for shallow frying
1. Add wheat flour chikpea flour, onions, chillis, all spices mentioned above and knead soft dough with required amount of water.
2. Make small balls of the dough and roll them to make round rotis.
4.Roast these rotis on heated pan with little oil on the sides of rotis.Cook it to the both of the sides till golden brown.
5. Serve rotis with pickle or any of the curry of your choice.
