Yeah….Fish is something that rarely enters into my house. But I wanted my baby to taste every food so is this humble try to Tawa Fish Fry. It was simple hake fillet I managed to get here just marinated it with mild spices and shallow fried it on tawa.
Simplicity often speaks louder and these fish dishes like Tawa Fish Fry are simply to prove it true. Golden crusty fish fry with inner moist fleshy thing is just more than perfect as an evening snack.
My cutie pie has recently developed interest in fish fries. We ordered it in restaurant couple of times ,I tried that baked version in my kitchen too. But somewhere it was tickling in my mind was this rustic Tawa Fish Fry ,I had it long back in India. I immediately went on searching for a fresh fish fillet, made it and served it to herein no time it was disappeared and Mommy me , got another quick easy peasy afterschool snack idea with me. Such a relief.
Fish fillet 500 gms
Semolina (rava) ½ cups
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Garam masala 1tsp
Rice flour 1tbsp
Oil for shallow frying
1.Make pieces of fish fillet and marinate it with rice flour,turmeric,chilli powder,garam masala,lemonjuice and ginger garlic paste. Keep it aside for 15-20 mins.
2.Roll marinated fish pieces into rava.
3.Shallow fry fish pieces with oil till golden brown from both sides.
