Restaurant Style Indo- Chinese Veg Fried Rice is one of the most popular Indo Chinese recipes.It is a fried rice recipe made with very few sauces and loads of veggies.
Very few knows that most of the recipes we get in India as a Chinese recipes are not actually from China.They are just indo Chinese version of Few Chinese recipes.
One of my friend who resides in China has told me once that there is no recipe called Manchurian in China .Most of the recipes like Chinese Manchurian,Shezwan veg fried rice,Shezwan chicken fried rice ,Hakka noodles are Indian version of Chinese food.
To my surprise even American Chop suey and Veg Chow mein are also indo Chinese recipes and not originally from China.Chinese food is very popular in India and worldwide.Most of the indo Chinese dishes are said to be originated by a small Chinese community in Kolkata ,West Bengal.
We find some fusion recipes like chilli chicken,chilli paneer or paneer Manchurian,gobi Manchurian,soya Manchurian in most of the Indian Restaurants.Most of these indo-chinese recipes uses soya,chilli sauce as a seasoning.So is this Restaurant Style Indo -Chinese Veg Fried Rice.
Cooked Rice 2 cups
CarrotJuliennes ½ cup
Cabbage Julienne ½ cup
Frozen peas ½ cup
Green pepper Julienne ½ cup
Crushed garlic ½ tsp
1.Heat oil in pan and temper with garlic.
2.Add chpped veggies and sauté for a 2 minutes.
3.Add cooked rice and mix well.
4.Season with soya sauce and stir in till it coats all the rice well.
5.Remember to keep flame high and toss well on high heat.Serve hot.
